Problems with TC and the crew (10)

Howdy folks,

Some players are rioting and think that we (the crew) are doing a bad job. They think Thorrief is corrupted, that Zed and I are fags etc Well, I'm starting to get a bit annoyed. As you all know we are reorganizing the crew and we are right now planning what it will look like. I know we havnt gone out with much info about this but I assure you that you will be informed when the time comes.

Tomorrow we will have a full list of what members should be in each crew section and then we will start to do the real reorganization. I dont think we will fix all TC's problems with this but I think this organization will be much better.

What is your take on the problems in TC right now? What is really bad? What doesnt work? What does work? What are we doing that we should keep on doing? Throw out everything here and we'll see what we can do to clean up this mess.

Hi memox.
I appreciate this effort of yours of reorganising the Crew and I will be happy if I could help in some way.
The problems that I see are as follows:

1.Some Crew members are not active in the forum..I said this before but nobody listened.
2.Others are view by the players as n00bs and as Crew members that are posting just to say something not to help in that respective problem.
3.This problem from the point 2 has lead to a massive disrespect by the users.They just don't give a .....about what a mod says.
They hardly respect admins...and mods are there just to be insulted.
The players know that we can't defend ourselfs....I have never insulted anybody on the forum...even when I was pissed off...but i have been insulted countless times and for nothing.

I hope that with the new organisation in the Crew players and some members attitude will change...in a good way.

we need to work as a team to come up with a plan to make our selves more respected. Too many players just come, spam, insult and make our jobs hell. I remember when i first became a mod, someone made a topic ''joke of the day'' and posted ''biggest joke ever, Tyla, Moderator, 107 posts''

Maybe, some of the more trusted moderators, as a player suggested, could have the privalege of banning.

For example:

Insulting Crew Member - 1 day ban
Insulting Admins/Head Admins - 2 Day Ban
Flooding - Perm Ban

Or maybe, we could be a bit more lenient to show that we are players just like they are.

For Example:

Most topics when somebody says *** or shit or starts debating , badm4n locks the topic. This is a forum, created for debate, new ideas right? Yes, insulting crew members in a FORCEFUL way or just useless spam Lock it then, but critising a crew member or a gameplay issue, the topic should be allowed to stay open.

But at the end of the day, its memox and zeds decsision, so its up to you guys.

P.S: Many players were happy to see memox and the other admins active today, keep it up!

like kirk said that there is some members of the crew are not online...better not to say who.

but as me u dont see me posting..u just see me here in the crew only or in the arabic section...i did this after fighting with the spammers like mutagen.

btw i wasnt talking to kirk only i was talking to all members of the tc crew..

we need new admins that have responsible to this
i mean he/she will add remove privillage of the trusted MOD

I agree with what Tyla said about mods being able to have the ability to ban... maybe not to the extent that admins can but because there are so many more mods then admin out there maybe when there comes a time that for instance we come across a multi account user, someone is blatantly insulting and threatening TC Crew (of any level) or when we come across users with porn/obscene profile pics ... and we are not able to immediately contact an admin because they are offline or away from the computer... maybe we could have the option to ban them for a small or limited amount of time until we CAN get ahold of an admin to review the problem and decide from there what they think would be the best steps to take against that player. And obviously if any moderator is caught abusing these priveledges without having adequate proof of wrongdoings and without providing a well noted warning ... then their ability to ban should be reviewed and revoked if need be.

You should know DaQueenB that the TC Police will handle this from now on.....I mean when the new organisation of the Crew will operate then it will be the job of the Police Crew to do this.

They will have the Ban power for sure....

well i belive soo... people is trying to figure it out if u cant ban annoying ppl and etc (talkin about da turkish site) .. so what exectly do you do??

well i say i help the ppl who needs help on the board.. and guess thats the reason y im here..

i tried to be more helpfull like, there is some turkish translation mistakes on the site i send PM s couple of times but noone get back to me..

so i said maybe i should just wait for someone to ask me to do somethin.. other than that everything is O.K. on the turkish support
side.. np..

sorry for the second post.. but i think about it for the second time about this topic.. and come up with a creative idea.. (its my 5 cents)

ok the first one is ;i should have a temp. power inside, like ban (for one day or 2 day) (this wasnt the creative one)

or

insteed if that is too powerfull for a mod then i should be like a cop maybe.. something like if someone bothers the other players or curse a lot enough to made ppl come to me, maybe i should be able put that guy in the prison for a day.. and this way the other players also gonna feel like the game is under control.. cos it shouldnt be like u can go inside and do whatever u want.. bother ppl or curse ppl n etc... what do you think

There will be more departaments each one with their own leader and members and with specific tasks.

DC - Development Crew
CC - Community Crew
SC - Support Crew
AC(?) - Abuse Crew
Police Crew - A better name than the Police will be TC Keeper - what do u guys think?
